Bio


Maria Eugenia Longo Cabello Campos has illustrated more than 60 books, for kids and adults, and her books have won prizes in Brazil and abroad, such as the Bologna Ragazzi Award in 2001 ["Nas ruas do Bras " - Cia das letrinhas ] and the White Ravens In 2004 ["Bichos que existem, bichos que nao existem" - Cosac & Naify]. She has participated in many illustrations exhibitions such as the Society of illustrators NY annual show [2005,2006,2008], American Illustration show [2006,2007,2008,2011,2013], Bologna’s Illustrators Exhibition [2004], the Itabashi Art Museum Exhibition in Tokyo, the Bratislava Biennial of Illustrations [99,2001,2005] "The fabulous colored pencils " an exhibition with 40 women illustrators from all over the world, in Italy [2006/07] and many other illustrators shows in Brazil. Maria Eugenia's has also been awarded with residencies at Ucross Foundation in 2008 , Vermont studio center in 2003 [USA], La Napoule Art Foundation in 2001 [ France ] and the UNESCO-Ibby workshop in Bratislava [Slovakia ] in 1999.
Since 1992 she is a collaborator for Folha de São Paulo Newspaper and many magazines .

Maria Eugenia ilustrou mais de 60 livros, para crianças e adultos, e seus livros ganharam prêmios no Brasil e no exterior, como o Bologna Ragazzi Award em 2001 - NEW HORIZONS ["Nas Ruas do Brás" - Cia. das Letrinhas] e o White Ravens Em 2004 ["Bichos que existem, bichos Que nao existem" - Cosac & Naify]. Participu de várias exposições , como a da Society of illustrators de NY [2005,2006,2008,2009,2010], American illustration [2006,2007,2008,2011], Mostra dos Ilustradores de Bolonha-mostraillustratori [2004], Exposição do Itabashi Museu de Arte em Tóquio, das Bienais de Ilustraçõo de Bratislava [99,2001,2005] e muitos outros. Maria Eugenia também foi premiado com residências na Ucross Foundation em 2008, no Vermont Studio Center, em 2003 [EUA], La Napoule Art Foundation em 2001 [França] e na oficina UNESCO-IBBY em Bratislava, Eslováquia [] em 1999.
Desde 1992 que é colaboradora da Folha de São Paulo ,toda semana ilustra a coluna da Nina Horta.
